To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps she is taking to ensure the deportation of foreign nationals convicted of criminal offences.

Tough enforcement is the cornerstone of this Government's immigration police. We strongly believe that foreign law breakers should be removed from the UK at the earliest possible opportunity. We will seek to deport any foreign national criminal who meets our deportation criteria.
