To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change pursuant to the answer of 20 December 2010, Official Report, column 981W, on Sheffield Forgemasters, what the dates of his discussions with ministerial colleagues were; which Ministers were involved; whether the discussions were part of a formal meeting; whether minutes or notes were taken; what the outcomes of the discussions were; and whether the discussions are ongoing.

The Secretary of State regularly discusses a wide variety of issues with ministerial colleagues.

There were no formal discussions on Sheffield Forgemasters and therefore there is no record of these discussions. Following the decision to withdraw the loan officials worked with the company to try to help to achieve a private sector solution as reported at the time the Minister of State for Business and Enterprise on 8 July 2010, Hansard, column 503.
