To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the development of stronger links between credit unions and the Post Office.
We were clear in the policy statement Securing the Post Office Network in the Digital Age, published on 9 November 2010, that we support a stronger link up between the Post Office and credit unions.
In addition to existing arrangements, Post Office Limited is working to extend its co-operation with credit unions, including continued engagement with the Association of British Credit Unions to explore options to further expand services.
