To ask the Secretary of State for Health what his most recent estimate is of the number of primary care trust staff who have been made redundant in the latest period for which figures are available.

The number of primary care trust staff who have been made compulsorily redundant for the latest period for which figures are available is:

Quarter 2 (July to September) of 2010-11: 157 staff were made compulsorily redundant.
