To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what (a) discussions and (b) other communication his Department has had with the Crown Estate on the charging rates applied by the Crown Estate for use of depleted offshore gas fields under its ownership for gas storage in the last 12 months; and what the outcome of such communications was.

The Department has had no communication with the Crown Estate on this subject since 6 May 2010.
