To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what proportion of the UK's Official Development Assistance will be spent on debt relief in each year from 2010-11 to 2013-14.
Andrew Mitchell
The Secretary of State for International Development
Over the spending review period we estimate that about 2.5% of UK Official Development Assistance will be in the form of debt relief. Due to uncertainties around individual country progress under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries Initiative it is not possible to provide a breakdown by year.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
