To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Education on the future of science research and expertise in England.
Both my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and I have regular discussions with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Education and the Minister of State for Schools. The importance of science education in schools and universities has been discussed by us in the context of the National Curriculum Review and the Schools White Paper.
