To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will meet representatives of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists to discuss communication disorder in children; and if he will make a statement.

The Secretary of State has already met representatives of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists along with other organisations concerned with speech, language and communication needs. The Government's forthcoming Green Paper on special educational needs and disabilities will look at how support for children and young people, including those with speech, language and communication needs and their families, can be improved.
