To ask Her Majesty's Government how many people were employed by the Department for International Development (a) at the last general election, and (b) now; and what is the expected number in 12 months' time.

We are currently considering the impact of the Spending Review settlement on DfID's workforce. Projected staff figures for the next 12 months are not yet available.
