To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how much his Department spent on food aid in the financial years 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09.
The Department for International Development's (DFID's) spending on food aid in financial years 2006-07 to 2008-09 was published in the additional tables made available as part of the 2010 edition of 'Statistics on International Development'. This publication and the additional tables are available in the Library of the House and on DFID's website.
In addition DFID made core contributions to a range of multilateral organisations a proportion of which was also spent on food aid programmes.
