To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport what recent estimates he has made of the cost to the music industry of illegal music downloading.
I have made no recent estimate of the cost to the music industry of illegal music downloading. However, the British phonographic industry estimate that the loss to the UK music industry from unlawful file-sharing is £180 million per annum (2008).
