The UK Border Agency keeps its visa operations in all locations including the Middle East under review to ensure that they are effective, efficient and offer value to both applicants and taxpayers. The agency aims to ensure that its staff overseas are not exposed to unnecessary and avoidable risks. In recent years we have made a number of changes to processes to enable both faster and safer issuing of visas.

The agency will continue to review the processes it uses as it seeks to make efficiencies in its visa operation.
