To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they have received from information technology companies and organisations about the impact of the proposed cap on non-European Union immigration.

The Home Secretary launched a consultation over the summer to ensure that we took a wide range of views and evidence on board and into account before announcing our plans for the first full annual limit. The consultation is now closed and the responses, including those from information technology companies and organisations, are being carefully assessed.

The Government announced on 23 November the operation of the immigration limit as regards tiers 1 and 2.
