To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the order for 22 Chinook helicopters announced by the previous administration has been placed; and, if so, what penalties will be incurred by the proposal to reduce the order to 12.

An order for 22 Chinook helicopters was never placed and, therefore, no penalties will be incurred as we proceed with an order for 12.
