Work and Pensions written question – answered at on 19 November 2010.
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions whether he has made an assessment of the effects on disabled people seeking employment of recent changes to the operation of the Access to Work scheme.
Access to Work has the objective of helping disabled people take up or retain paid work, by helping to meet the extra costs faced by disabled people or their employers beyond what is reasonable for the employer to meet. There have not been any changes made which would impede the delivery of this objective.
