To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what recent discussions there have been between her Department and the Office of Fair Trading on the price paid to dairy farmers for milk.
DEFRA officials have had recent discussions with counterparts in the Office of Fair Trading concerning the EU High Level Group on Milk, including any potential benefits or impacts this may have on the price paid to UK dairy farmers for milk.
The High Level Group published its final report and recommendations on
DEFRA officials continue to discuss outcomes which may follow the High Level Group process with the Office of Fair Trading.
