Business, Innovation and Skills written question – answered on 12th November 2010.
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills if he will bring forward proposals to ensure that local enterprise partnerships have at least one representative from a co-operative or other mutual organisation on their boards.
As set out in the White Paper on Local Growth the Government will normally expect to see business representatives form half the board, with a prominent business leader in the chair. Partnerships will want to work closely with other key economic stakeholders including social and community enterprises.
