To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what assessment he has made of the likely effect on universities in Scotland of the implementation of the higher education and student finance proposals.

Policy and funding responsibility for higher education in Scotland is devolved to the Scottish Government. It is for Scottish Ministers to consider how the higher education and student finance proposals announced recently for England might affect universities in Scotland.
