To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what estimate he has made of the current monetary value of properties owned by the Northwest Regional Development Agency; and what advice he has received on (a) the amount (i) likely to be realised by an early sale of those properties and (ii) which might be realised if a sale was delayed and (b) alternative uses for those properties.

The current value of properties owned by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, as for all other RDAs, is currently under review. It is not possible at present to estimate the extent of receipts arising from the disposal of the assets of the regional development agencies as decisions have yet to be made on the scope and timing of any sale. No decision has yet been made on any specific asset and no dates have been set for the transfer or disposal of specific assets and liabilities other than ordinary disposals.
