To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what his policy is on the (a) codification of constitutional conventions and (b) adoption of a codified constitution for the UK; and if he will make a statement.
The Government have no current plans to codify the constitutional conventions in operation in the United Kingdom or to bring forward proposals for the adoption of a codified constitution for the United Kingdom.
