To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has discussed with the Scottish Executive the application of the provisions of the Human Rights Act 1998 in respect of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Cadder v. Her Majesty's Advocate (Scotland).

The Secretary of State for Justice and I both engaged with the Scottish Government on the issues raised by this case. The Scottish Government introduced emergency legislation on 26 October and the Bill received Royal Assent on 29 October.
