Deputy Prime Minister written question – answered at on 26 October 2010.
To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what plans he has to take account of diversity in political representation in his political reform proposals; and if he will make a statement.
The Government are committed to tackling the barriers preventing under-represented groups from participating in political life. We are developing proposals to introduce extra support for disabled people and our other proposed reforms give us the opportunity to help ensure that politics is representative of the communities it serves.
