The Government intend to revoke Planning Circular 01/06 (ODPM) Planning for Gypsy and Traveller Sites and Planning Circular 04/07 Planning for Travelling Showpeople subject to the necessary impact assessments and following a public consultation to which all interested parties are entitled to respond. The circulars will be replaced with a short policy statement and light-touch guidance.
