To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what recent discussions he has had with the Planning Inspectorate on planning decisions.

As an Executive Agency, the Planning Inspectorate takes responsibility for its day to day operational work within a policy context set by Government. I have regular meetings with the Chief Executive to discuss performance and progress.
