To ask Her Majesty's Government what is the forecast retail price of electricity for each of the next 10 years.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change does not publish retail energy price forecasts. It publishes oil, gas and coal price assumptions for the period till 2030, which are used in the department's analytical work. Wholesale electricity prices are an important driver of retail prices, and as part of DECC's updated energy and emissions projections, DECC produces wholesale electricity price projections which arise from the fossil fuel price assumptions.
