To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what assessment has been made of the effectiveness of the powers of review of community orders under section 178 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 in increasing the accountability of offenders.

There has been no assessment of the effectiveness of the powers of review of community orders under section 178 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003, separate to wider evaluations of community justice pilots at North Liverpool and Salford. There are four published reports evaluating the Community Justice Initiatives in Salford and North Liverpool. They are:
