To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how many National Offender Management Service headquarters functions have been moved outside London in each of the last six years; and if he will make a statement.

During 2006 NOMS relocated the financial transactions functions in HQ from London to Newport. In 2007 NOMS relocated the Human Resources transactions function from London to Newport. In total 285 posts were moved out of London and the south east during these relocations.
