To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions whether he plans to make changes to the criteria according to which housing benefit is paid either to claimants or to landlords.

A review of the first two years' operation of the local housing allowance arrangements is being undertaken to monitor the impact of the local housing allowance at a national level. The review aims to cover a range of issues including direct payment to tenants and will report later in the year.
