To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will request the UK Border Agency to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of the level of attendance of presenting officers at immigration and asylum tribunals.

The UK Border Agency is currently looking at how to make more effective use of its presenting officer resources to represent cases where they will have maximum impact.

This will include whether there are cases that it is not cost effective to represent and whether resources to represent appeals are in the most effective location to maximise representation of high priority and high cost appeals.
