To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people in (a) the UK, (b) Wales and (c) Cynon Valley constituency have undergone the work capability assessment as part of a claim for employment and support allowance to date.
In the UK, there have been 496,200 completed Work Capability Assessments from October 2008 up to the end of May 2010. The equivalent figure for Wales is 29,100. This information is not available for the Cynon Valley constituency.
