To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what plans his Department has to identify potentially fraudulent claims for disability living allowance.
The Department carries out various checks on a selection of disability living allowance live cases to ensure they are correct. Where appropriate, additional medical evidence may also be sought from a relevant health care professional. This may include a medical examination. We also match data both within and outside Government to identify inconsistencies in information.
