To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change whether he plans to bring forward proposals to extend the criteria for steps taken by businesses to improve their energy efficiency to be recognised under the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.

We have no current plans to change the CRC Energy Efficiency scheme legislation enacted in the last Parliament. We are however keeping the operation of the scheme under active review to ensure that it incentivises energy efficiency improvements among participants and the level of regulation and incentives are proportionate.
