To ask Her Majesty's Government whether consideration has been given to selling the Commonwealth Development Corporation in order to reduce the deficit.

The Government are looking into the case for public ownership of a wide range of government public bodies. At the moment we are not ruling anything out but do not have any plans to sell the CDC. The CDC is an important instrument in the UK's strategy to eliminate poverty through private sector development and growth.
