To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what her policy is on raising the retirement age for police officers.

My right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced an Independent Public Service Pensions Commission to include police pensions, and as part of the Coalition Programme there will also be a full review of the remuneration and conditions of service for police officers and staff.
