To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what assessment she has made of the likely effect on levels of inward migration to the UK of the decision of the Hungarian government to grant Hungarian citizenship to ethnic Hungarians in non-EU states.
No assessment has been made to date, but the UK Border Agency will continue to monitor closely any significant changes in numbers of individuals registering on the Worker Registration Scheme for workers from the A8 countries that acceded to the EU in 2004, or applying for EEA residence documentation.
