To ask the Attorney-General in relation to how many defendants charged with criminal offences the Crown Prosecution Service has applications for the removal of the jury under Part 7 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 pending.
The Crown Prosecution Service has no applications pending for the removal of the jury under Part 7 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003.
The defence have notified the CPS of their intention to appeal in a case in which an application has already been granted. The case involves one defendant.
