To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how much her Department spent on postage in 2009.

From information held centrally for core DEFRA, £255,441.91 was spent in the fiscal year 2009-10 on postage.

To provide the information for all DEFRA executive agencies and executive and advisory NDPBs would incur disproportionate cost.
