To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make it his policy to ensure that any changes to capital gains tax do not discourage employee share ownership; and if he will make a statement.
We are seeking ways of taxing non-business capital gains at rates similar or close to those applied to income, with generous exemptions for entrepreneurial business activities. Further details will be provided at Budget.
