To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many and what proportion of students enrolled in International Baccalaureate courses were entitled to free school meals in the latest year for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement.

As collected in the 2009 autumn school census, 1,679 students were studying International Baccalaureate courses, of these 5.3 per cent. were eligible to receive free school meals (89 students).
