To ask the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families how many schools offer an International Baccalaureate course; and if he will make a statement.
The Department does not hold information on the courses offered by schools. However, information on the courses entered by students is available.
69 schools(1) entered students for an International Baccalaureate (IB) during the 2008/09 academic year. A further 22 FE colleges had IB candidates in 2008/09.
