To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what (a) capital and (b) revenue assistance was provided by the Arts Council to Newcastle city council for the (i) purchase and (ii) redevelopment of derelict buildings in High Bridge, Newcastle for the Waygood Art Gallery in the last five years; and how much has been spent to date.

Arts Council England has paid Newcastle city council £871,281 in capital funds to support the redevelopment of the Waygood Gallery. Revenue funding has gone directly to the gallery.
