To ask Her Majesty's Government whether, in the light of the approaches of the Governments of the United States and Argentina towards British sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, they will reduce the number of British troops in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan remains the Ministry of Defence's main effort and we keep our force levels under constant review to ensure that commanders have the capabilities that they need to complete the tasks that we ask of them.
