To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department with reference to the answer of 12 October 2009, Official Report, column 591W, on travelling people, what information his Department holds on those police forces which have adopted targets or policies to recruit Travellers.

Following the Policing Green Paper: Cm 7448 "From the Neighbourhood to National: Policing Our Communities Together", Police Authorities are now responsible for setting local employment targets in agreement with forces and in consultation with communities. The Home Office does not hold information on police forces which have adopted targets or policies to recruit Travellers.
