To ask the Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills how many individuals resident in each constituency (a) in total and (b) aged over 65 years were subject to a bankruptcy order in each quarter between Quarter 2 of 1997 and Quarter 4 of 2009.

Statistics for bankruptcy orders in England and Wales broken down by constituency and age are currently available on an annual basis only and from 2000 to 2008. Sub-national figures for 2009 will be published by the Insolvency Service later in 2010.

The table exceeds the size that can be incorporated within the answer and so will be placed in the Libraries of the House.
