To ask Her Majesty's Government what guidance is given to ministers in the Ministerial Code about answering parliamentary questions.

Section 1 of the Ministerial Code, which incorporates the Resolution of both Houses, makes clear that Ministers have a duty to Parliament to account and be held to account for the policies, decisions and actions of their departments and agencies. This includes answers to Parliamentary questions.
