We have consulted on the implementing provisions for the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks 2007 contained within the draft Marine Navigation Bill on which pre-legislative parliamentary scrutiny was undertaken in 2008.

Subject to inclusion of the Bill in the parliamentary legislative programme, the Government intend to implement the convention as soon as possible.
