To ask Her Majesty's Government what is their estimate of the number of people with dementia who, following diagnosis, are receiving appropriate social and medical care; and what is their estimate of the percentage for whom only crisis or late stage care is provided.

This information is not collected centrally. The National Dementia Strategy, published a year ago, outlines the range of services that we want to see delivered so that people can live well with dementia. The department is commissioning an audit of dementia services across health and social care.
