To ask Her Majesty's Government which European legislation is being transposed by the Equality Bill.

The Government have transposed all existing equality directives by means of legislation currently in force. The Equality Bill replaces this legislation. The principal legislation replaced by the Bill is set out in paragraph 4 of the Explanatory Notes to the Bill, and the main European directives affecting the legislation are set out in paragraph 5.
