To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many stop and searches have been carried out by the Metropolitan police under section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 in each year since 2003-04; and how many such searches resulted in arrests for (a) possession of an offensive weapon or dangerous instrument and (b) other reasons.
