To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much his Department spent on (a) new furnishings, (b) works of art and (c) new vehicles in each of the last two years.

The following table shows how much the Northern Ireland Office (NIO), including its arms length bodies and the Public Prosecution Service Northern Ireland but excluding its agencies and NDPBs, has spend on (a) new furnishings, (b) works of art and (c) new vehicles in each of the last two years.

Expenditure on new furnishings is based on costs coded to the furniture expense codes on the NIO finance system. All expenditure has to be incurred in accordance with the principles of Managing Public Money and the Treasury handbook on Regularity and Propriety.
